Mia Sala-Patau

Mia Sala-Patau is an artist and actress. She studied Fine Arts at BAU and VJing at a højskole in Denmark. Although acting and cinema are at the core of her practice, her work extends into other fields such as performance, image-making and archives.

Her work explores the relationship between fiction and reality, with a particular focus on the ways in which we construct, share and remember images. Archives, the internet ecosystem and humour are recurring elements in her practice, with a particular interest in meme culture. She combines different languages and forms of representation to construct narratives that move between the everyday, the fictional and the absurd.
