No time left for the square
No time left for the square, by Andrea Carilla, brings together images of people moving through and inhabiting public space: remaining there without a specific purpose, simply moving through it for the sake of doing so. A daily gesture that, in an increasingly accelerated city, becomes a privilege.
The project observes those who make use of a time that seems to have disappeared. Through her images, Andrea Carilla focuses on small gestures of a fading everyday life and on ways of being that do not necessarily serve a specific purpose.
In the face of a city that seems to have forgotten how to stop, remain, wait, or simply be, staying becomes a quiet form of resistance.
