The fanzine “Pont Neuf” revolves around the idea of process which, on the one hand, reveals the technical process that takes place in the analog darkroom (learning a new technique —in this case, Lith printing—) along with everything inherent to the act of learning itself: mistakes, notes, and different versions of the same image, where time itself leaves traces of evolution and improvement, sometimes subtle, other times more evident. At the same time, it presents a journey through different cities and portraits of the same person at different moments over the course of a year, as witnesses to a bond. The images intertwine with writings and test prints. After all, isn’t a bond something that is built over time, through successes and mistakes, changes and learning?
